Island ConnectEd provides online learning opportunities for K-12 and Adult Learners who live within the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Public Schools (NLPS) District. New registrations require Proof of Address (POA) to access online coursework through Island ConnectEd.
Welcome to Island ConnectEd K-12
Island ConnectEd K-12 is a district online learning public school based out of Nanaimo, BC for in-catchment students only. Our school provides a flexible, blended learning environment which allows students/families to learn at a distance
Please note that we are taking a waitlist for the K-7 program at this time. Registration is still open for the 8&9 program.
*** Families who are already registered with Island ConnectEd K-9 do not need to register again.
Island ConnectEd is currently open. Please note that registration may take up to 3 business days to process at this time due to high enrollment volume.

To graduate, students will require 80 credits total – with a minimum of 16 at the grade 12 level, and 28 elective course credits.
